Frustration, precipitation, and improvisation best describe the Briarcliff MX Mid-East area qualifier as the weather the last weekend in April couldn't have been more stereotypical “Ohio”. The forecast leading up to the event was calling for sunshine and clear 70 degrees skies for Friday’s practice sessions, then turning into thunderstorms overnight to Saturday morning.

3 Palms Area Qualifier Race Report

With Spring Nationals coming near and motocross riders in peak condition, March 4th-5th, 2017 marked yet another year 3 Palms Action Sports Park hosted a Loretta Lynn’s Qualifier. This year, 3 Palms was honored to host the opening round South Central Area Qualifier, where riders would get their first chance to try and qualify for the Regional Qualifiers later this year.

The Midwest Area Qualifier scheduled to take place this weekend, March 25 and 26, at Oatfield Raceway in Turlock, California has been cancelled due to weather. At this point in time the event will not be rescheduled.

KTM Motorsports is proud to announce its increased regional motocross contingency program for the 2017 season, totaling a possible payout of $ 1.5 million dollars. Additionally, riders that place inside the top three at select amateur national motocross events will receive a 5-gallon pail of KTM ETS Fuel.
