Motosports Park Hosts North Central Area Qualifer

This past weekend of May 23rd and 24th the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Loretta Lynn's Amateur National Championship Qualifier was underway out at Motosports Park in Byron Illinois. This was the last weekend for qualifying with the regionals starting up the very next weekend.

Loretta Lynn Area Qualifier: Oatfield Raceway

This would be our first Loretta Lynn Area Qualifier that we would get to cover and we were all looking forward to it. There have been several good races already this season and everyone was excited to see where the racers would end up against their competition. Jack and Corky, from AMP GFI racing, left the track with no changes, so the riders new the fast lines and where the ruts would form. The weather was perfect and as all AMP GFI races, it started and ran like clockwork.

ThermoTec/FMC Racing Yamaha's Bobby Kiniry grabbed the holeshot in the first Arenacross Class Main Event, leading a freight train of past winners including Husqvarna TiLUBE TUF Racing's Kyle Regal, Faith, Goerke and Team Babbitt's Kawasaki's Jacob Hayes, the current points leader.
