Light Up Celebration Announced For 2020 Monster Energy AMA

Join In on Lighting Up The Ranch

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (July 17, 2020) – It may not be the holiday season, but MX Sports Inc., producer of the 2020 Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, is excited to announce its Inaugural Light Up Celebration at The Ranch. The Light Up Celebration will begin on Sunday, August 2^nd, and will take place through Friday, August 7^th. The winner will then be announced at Friday evening’s Talent Show inside the Monster Energy Arena.

Riders, families and fans are encouraged to bring all of their holiday lights, decorations and more to decorate at their campsites. We know our racing family is a creative group, and we want to see exactly how creative they are. This opportunity will give a unique feel to the campground and we’re excited to see what kind of decorations will be found at The Ranch.

“I am so looking forward to seeing The Ranch all lit up from the creativity of our racing families,” said Tim Cotter, MX Sports Event Director. “It is definitely going to make those nighttime golf cart rides around the campground event more memorable.”

The winner of the Light Up Celebration contest will receive a complimentary hookup camping spot for the 2021 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship.

The 39th annual Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, will take place Monday, August 3 through Saturday, August 8 at Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

About the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship
The Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship is the world's largest and most prestigious amateur motocross racing program. This year due to COVID-19 the qualifying system was broken into a five-week Regional Championship system. The qualifying system culminates in the National Final (first week in August) hosted annually since 1982 at the home of country music star Loretta Lynn in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. Nearly 10,200 racers attempted to qualify in 36 classes for 1,512 available positions at the National.
