RMATVMC Named Official Online Retailer of the 2020
AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch
PAYSON, UT (March 4, 2020) – Rocky Mountain ATV/MC recently signed a 3-year contract with MX Sports to be an official sponsor and the Official Online Retailer of Loretta Lynn’s. The company’s continuing partnership with MX Sports signifies their commitment to supporting amateur racing.
The AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch has been a longstanding tradition within the dirt bike community. Since the idea for a centralized amateur race was proposed in the early 1980s and implemented in 1982, Loretta Lynn’s ranch has been the staging area for the next greats of the sport. A host of the sport’s most acclaimed and talented riders – Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Villopoto, Jeremy McGrath, and more – all have Loretta Lynn’s titles to their name, underscoring the significance of the event.
To qualify for the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, racers must first compete in an Area Qualifier. For 2020, there will be 53 Area Qualifiers across 27 different states from February-May. Riders with the top finishes in the Area Qualifiers will then move up to their designated Regional Qualifier. From May-June, the 13 Regional Qualifier events will determine which riders get to compete at Loretta Lynn’s ranch. No pre-registration is required for the Area Qualifies, but online pre-registration for the Regional Qualifiers opens the Monday prior to the event. Mail-in registration is also allowed, and information for both can be found at https://mxsports.com/regional-championship-registration.
After the Area and Regional Qualifiers are completed, the 2020 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship will be held at Loretta Lynn Ranch August 3-8, 2020. There, the top riders from each region will all compete for an amateur national title.
RMATVMC will work with their Race Gas program to reward competing racers with an e-credit redeemable at the RockyMountainATVMC.com website. Riders who compete in an Area Qualifier will be awarded one $10 e-credit for that race. Those who pre-register online for either the Regional event or the Amateur national, if applicable, will receive one $20 e-credit per event.
"We are excited to return to Hurricane Mills, Tennessee for another year of amateur racing,” said Dan Thomas, CEO and Founder of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. “The AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s is a rite of passage for the sport, so we’re pleased to continue supporting the young riders hoping to join the professional ranks by sponsoring the series and giving back with our Race Gas program.”
“Rocky Mountain ATV/MC’s participation in the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship is paramount,” said MX Sports Director Tim Cotter. “Their steadfast commitment to giving back to our racers and families with their unlimited product line and lightning fast shipping keeps riders racing for less. We are honored to have Rocky Mountain ATV/MC as a partner once again at Loretta Lynn’s.”

About the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s
The AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship is the world's largest and most prestigious amateur motocross racing program. The national qualifying program consists of 53 Area Qualifiers (February through May) and 13 Regional Championships (May through June), hosted at select motocross facilities across the country. The qualifying system culminates in the National Final (first week in August) hosted annually since 1982 at the home of country music star Loretta Lynn in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. Nearly 22,000 racers attempt to qualify in 36 classes for the 1,470 available positions at the National. Christened "The World's Greatest Motocross Vacation", the National event serves as a launch pad for some of the biggest names in professional motocross and supercross, including Eli Tomac, Ken Roczen, Aaron Plessinger and Justin Barcia. The national program is produced by MX Sports, Inc., a West Virginia-based race production company and sanctioned by AMA. For more information, please visit https://mxsports.com/.
