at Loretta Lynn Ranch Announces Special Events Schedule
Largest Amateur Motocross Event Hosts Great Nighttime Activities 

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (July 27, 2018) – The 37th Annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship presented by Lucas Oil returns to the popular Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee this coming week, July 30 through August 4. Alongside the world’s largest and most prestigious amateur racing event is a full slate of special events and nighttime activities scheduled to take place.

Things will kick off at 2:30 p.m. with the inaugural Nathan Hall Memorial Bicycle Training Ride. Riders wanting to take part in the training ride need to meet at the announcer’s tower for the 5K After completion of youth and amateur rider registration the activities kick continue with the annual Oakley Golf Cart Parade at 6 p.m. CDT, followed by the Red Bull Mini Moto for industry mechanics at 7 p.m. on the start line. 

Practice takes place Monday, July 30, please refer to the schedule HERE for the detailed breakdown of the practice divisions and times. The event will officially begin with the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Opening Ceremonies and riders meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Lucas Oil Arena. On Tuesday, July 31 Cobra will have their 2019 Model Introduction at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Lucas Oil Drive in Theater, which takes place at the Lucas Oil Pits at 9 p.m.

Wednesday, August 1 is a jam-packed day with activities including autograph signings by Jeremy McGrath and Ricky Carmichael at 1:30 p.m. followed by a Yamaha Track Walk at 7 p.m. with Ryan Villopoto. MXers for Jesus will present a Chapel Service with Reverend Kevin Cozadd in the FMF Pit Area at 7 p.m. with FMF Karaoke immediately following at 8 p.m. and a Teen Rave held at the Lucas Oil Arena at 8:30 p.m. 

Thursday, August 2 starts with music on the beach at 11 a.m. Ryan Villopoto will be signing autographs at the Yamaha pit from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Motoplayground will host the infamous Sidewinder Finals on Thursday night at 8 p.m., and all-new for 2018 will be the Fright Night presented by Racer X showing The Conjuring 1 and 2 in the woods across from the beer tent at 9 p.m.

On Friday, August 3, the On Track Graduation will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Lucas Oil Arena followed by the Yamaha/Moto Tees Talent Show at 8 p.m. Wrapping up the week will be the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Award Ceremony on Saturday, August 4 at 4 p.m. with the crowning of 35 National Champions.

There will be numerous activities taking place throughout the week, Camp Loretta’s returns as a day-camp designed for children ages five through 10 operating daily Monday, July 30 – Friday, August 3 from 10 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. The Specialized Pump Track is back and will be running from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday, July 30 – Saturday, August 4. Also, Fuel Ministries, Team Faith and Fellowship of Christian Athletes are partnering together every evening Saturday, July 28 – Thursday, August 3 to offer family fun games for all ages near Lake Loretta.

The National class structure includes classes for youth riders on 50cc bikes all the way up to vet and senior classes. The race will follow a three-moto format, taking place over the course of a week. Participating riders have previously raced and qualified at Area Qualifiers and Regional Championships to participate in the National.  

There will be hours of live online streaming coverage that begins on Tuesday, July 31 through Saturday, August 4 on RacerTV.com, and two one-hour highlight shows featuring the event will air on NBC Sports Network on Saturday, October 13 at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 11 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
