Nathan Hall 422 Memorial Foundation 2018 Scholarship Winner Announced
Memorial Road Bike Ride to Take Place at Loretta Lynn’s
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (July 18, 2018) – MX Sports along with the Nathan Hall 422 Memorial Foundation are excited to announce the 2018 Scholarship winner, Landrey Hazen from Michigan. Hazen earned the scholarship win after sending in her extensive race resume along with her essay on “Why I Should Ride in Nathan’s Honor.”
Nathan Hall was born in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky and began racing at five years old. Nathan loved riding and being able to use his talents to teach smaller children in the sport. Tragically Nathan passed away on November 4, 2017 from injuries sustained at a Louisiana practice track. Nathan first made the trip to Tennessee for the AMA Amateur National in 2012 and has been a staple at the Ranch ever since where he most recently qualified in the Open Pro Sport and 250 A classes in 2017. Nathan was a member of the popular Rock River Power Sports team.
The Nathan Hall 422 Memorial Foundation was setup in his honor, thus incorporating the scholarship awarded to one rider who would then ride at the AMA Amateur National Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Nathan’s honor sporting #45 on their bike. The winner will also receive a complete set of gear, boots, helmet, decal kit and be sent to a training facility for a Loretta Lynn’s boot camp training and condition.
On Sunday, July 29 a Memorial Road Bike ride will take place at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. Everyone that would like to take part in the ride should meet at the Announcers Tower at 2:30 PM. The ride will be around 6 miles long and will travel the paved roads through the Tenneesee countryside.
All bike ride participants are eligible to win their Facility Permit and Entry Fee for the week at Loretta’s. The winner will be determined at the end of the ride.
