Area Qualifiers for the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Amateur National Motocross Championship Begin February 10

PAYSON, UT (February 7, 2018) – Amateur motocross riders across the United States are preparing for the first step in their individual journeys to the 2018 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship presented by Lucas Oil at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. To reach Loretta Lynn’s, riders must first participate in Area Qualifiers, the first of which takes place February 10-11 at Arizona Cycle Park in Buckeye, AZ.

This year, 57 Area Qualifiers will take place across eight regions in 34 states from February to May. Riders with the top finishes at each Area Qualifier are permitted to move on to the corresponding Regional Championship. These take place across the country in May and June. From there, riders can qualify for Loretta Lynn’s in August.

As with past years, the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Race Gas program will be in effect for the Area Qualifiers in 2018. Participants who race in at least one class will receive $10 in Race Gas Cash, which can be used on any product purchased on the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC website.

“The final touches are being put on the Area Qualifier tracks for perhaps their largest events of the year,” said Tim Cotter, MX Sports Director. “The 2018 AMA Area Qualifiers start this weekend, and we are excited that Rocky Mountain ATV/MC continues to back the Loretta Lynn Program with their Race Gas Cash.”

“There is nothing else like competing in the qualifying process to reach Loretta Lynn’s. It’s a road paved with the goals, dreams and hard work of thousands of riders,” said Dan Thomas, CEO and Founder of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. “We’re excited that we can be part of that journey by serving as the title sponsor for the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Amateur National Motocross Championship, and we wish all of the riders luck as they prepare for the Area Qualifiers.”
