The elite Kawasaki Team Green™ roster wrapped up the 36^th Annual AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee with much to celebrate. Collectively, Team Green left the ranch with an astonishing seven championships along with Monster Energy® Kawasaki Team Green rider Garrett Marchbanks earning the coveted AMA Amateur Rider of the Year award. Familiarly known as “Loretta Lynn’s”, the week at the Ranch gives a glimpse as to who will become the future of the sport.

Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green rider Jett Reynolds would start Team Green off on the right foot after capturing his first championship on Friday in the 85cc (9-12) class, followed closely by teammates Ryder DiFrancesco in second overall, Chance Hymas fourth overall and Nick Romano rounding out the top five. This marks Reynolds’ third consecutive year of winning on his KX™85 motocross bike with an impressive total of nine Loretta Lynn’s national championships. The podium sweep continued in the 85cc (9-11) class with DiFrancesco capturing first, Hymas in second, Romano third and Acevedo fifth.

“It feels great to take home another title at Loretta’s this year,” said Reynolds. “We came up just short of a second championship, but I’m so grateful for alI of the support from my team and everyone who helps me out.”

After dominating the first two motos in the Mini Sr. 1 (12-13) class, Reynolds was the title favorite but a crash on the start of Moto 3 forced him to charge through the competition and pass 38 riders in two laps before ultimately running into issues on lap four that forced him to retire from the race. The Supermini classes saw both Team Green riders Dilan Schwartz and Stilez Robertson battle it out for a podium position. Schwartz, who was flying with the fastest lap time in Supermini 1 (13-16) powered to the front after a rough start and finished second overall with teammate Robertson taking fourth. Robertson rode flawlessly to finish second overall in the Supermini 2 (13-16) Class, with Schwartz in fourth place. Nate Thrasher finished on the podium with third overall in the Mini Sr. (12-14) class.

“I felt good on the bike and put it all out there this week,” said Schwartz. “I was happy to get two moto wins this week, but it’s tough to come that close to a championship. We’ll learn from it and be ready to take one home next year.”

Marchbanks was untouchable this week at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, claiming two titles in the 250 B and Schoolboy 2 (12-17) B/C classes. After grabbing a Moto 1 victory, Seth Hammaker went on to finish second overall in 250 B and fourth in Schoolboy 2. Lance Kobusch finished sixth overall in both 250 B and Schoolboy 2.

“I had fun on the track this week,” said Marchbanks. “We won all but one moto and I couldn’t have done it without a great team who always have my back.”

Kawasaki rider Joey Crown rode well to finish off the week with a third place overall in 250 A and a second place overall in Open Pro Sport.

Hannah Hodges continued her winning ways and was crowned the Women 12+ class champion. Following her win, Hodges continued to race throughout the weekend in WMX alongside teammates, Kylie Fasnatch and Shelby Rolen, Kawasaki dominated the class with Fasnatch first (1-1), Hodges second (2-2) and Rolen third overall (4-2).

John Grewe would once again win the Masters 50+ championship with Team Green teammate Earl May in third. Grewe also placed his KX™450F in second overall in Senior 40+, while Team Green rider Taylor Painter captured the victory in the Vet (30+) class.

“Loretta’s is always a good time,” said Grewe. “I had fun on the track and the weather was awesome this year!”

Team Green had four additional achievements over the past six days. Taylor Painter captured first in Vet (30+), Ryan Smith placed second in 250 C Limited and in College (18-24), teammates shared the podium with Felix Lopez taking second and Scott Meshey in third.

“It's always great coming to Loretta Lynn's,” said Team Green Manager, Ryan Holliday. “I enjoy catching up with so many of our Kawasaki racers and families. We strive to give them the best experience and support that our Team Green staff can provide.”

The track is only in use a few weeks out of the year at the ranch and it’s that time once again when horses will replace the motorcycles. It has been a long week for all of the riders competitively as well as a long car ride home for many, but the Team Green triumphs make it all worthwhile.
