SUBJECT: COMPETITION BULLETIN 2017-2: 

Tentative 2017 National Classes and Supplemental Rules

The Tentative 2017 Rocky Mountain ATV*MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship National Classes and Supplemental Rules are now available for inspection and public comment through Friday, December 30, 2016.  Thereafter, final rules and classes will be announced within one week.  For convenience, changes are highlighted in red.

Most notable changes include:

1. Removed the All-Star A/B (14+) class;

2. Added the 125 C (122-125cc) class;

3. Changed the age eligibility for the 250 C Jr. Limited and Schoolboy 2 B/C to (14-17);

4. Changed the age eligibility for the Schoolboy 1 B/C and the Youth 125cc B/C to (12-17);

5. Changed the engine displacement in the Schoolboy 2 B/C class to 122-250cc; and

6. Removed the Women All-Star class and restricted the past WMX champions and the top 5 overall finishing position from the previous two years WMX Championships from competing in the Women Amateur class.
