Restatement of Supplemental Rule B.1 – 2017 Models Ineligible 

Rule B.1 of the 2016 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship Supplemental Rules states as follows:

                  B.  Machine Eligibility and Classification:

                                    1.  2017 model machines are NOT eligible in any class.

Over the past month, several OEM’s have released their 2017 models to the public.  Per the 2016 Supplemental Rules, these models are not eligible to compete in any class at the upcoming 2016 National Final August 1-6, 2016.  This prohibition applies to any 2017 machine, frame or engine, or any part or component with a 2017 VIN.

It is necessary to issue this Restatement of Supplement Rule to avoid any confusion or misunderstanding as to the application or interpretation of Supplemental Rule B.1.

All participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the LL Supplemental Rules prior to competing in any events.
