MX Sports Announces Extended Sponsorship with Sunoco Race Fuels
Sunoco Returns as the Official Fuel of the AMA Amateur National
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (July 22, 2016) – MX Sports is pleased to announce an extended multi-year contract renewal with Sunoco Race Fuels in support of the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s. With the world’s most prestigious amateur motocross race just around the corner, the announcement establishes the continued support of amateur motocross by the world’s leader in fuel.
“From the very beginning of Sunoco’s involvement in motorsports we have focused on grassroots racing,” said Senior Sales Manager Terry Thompson. “Yes, we are now involved with some very high profile professional series and we benefit from the marketing exposure, but long before we had NASCAR, Moto America, Indycar, NHRA and the rest, we were at weekend races for every venue all over the country. For Sunoco, having the opportunity to work with amateur enthusiasts is still the most satisfying part of what we do. Our partnership with MX Sports has provided us with another opportunity to fuel some of tomorrow’s greatest racing legends. We are honored and excited that MX Sports has agreed to extend our partnership for another term and we look forward to working with teams for the coming years.”
Sunoco continues to set standards in the fuel industry, and they will be onsite at the Loretta Lynn Ranch to personally support amateur racers and teams. Additionally, Sunoco continues to be the official fuel of the Loretta Lynn National.
“Sunoco has been fueling Loretta Lynn racers for eight years now,” said MX Sports Director Tim Cotter. “They are more than just a fuel supplier, and they are fully invested in the sport of motocross and the families that follow it.”
The National class structure includes classes for youth riders on 50cc bikes all the way up to vet and senior classes. The race will follow a three-moto format, taking place over the course of a week. Participating riders have previously raced and qualified at Area Qualifiers and Regional Championships to participate in the National.
The 35th Annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship presented by AMSOIL will take place August 1-6 at the historic Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.
