Florida, temperatures in the 70s and blue skies – what more could one ask for other than a great weekend of racing. That is exactly what riders and spectators got this past weekend at the first SE LL Area Qualifier at WW Ranch. You could feel the tension in the air knowing this was not a local race and that only the Top 8 riders would advance. However, on Saturday, these distractions did not affect our up and coming riders in the 50 classes like Gianni Depauw or Seth Dennis that both went 1-1 in their classes 51 (4-6) Special Limited and 51 (4-6) Shaft Drive Limited respectively or riders like Jalek Swoll and Jarrett Frye in the Super Mini classes that were battling it out. Nicholas Romano grabbed the holeshots and went 1-1 in three of the four classes he raced.
