Clarification on International Riders competing at the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championship.

Section A.8 of the AMA Amateur National Motocross Supplemental Rules, Rider Eligibility and Classification, states the following:

All non-US citizens or riders participating in foreign motocross competitions outside the US, must obtain eligibility approval prior to participating in the National program in any event in any class, by contacting AMA Motocross Racing Department at 1.800.AMA.Join or by email at [email protected]

MX Sports along with the AMA has made a revision to this rule which now states:

All non-US citizens or riders participating in foreign motocross competitions outside the US must obtain eligibility approval prior to participating in the National program in any event in any class by submitting for an International license from the AMA. Although MX Sports prefers not to make rule changes during the race season, in this case the clarification is necessary to avoid any confusion.
