SUBJECT: Competition Bulletin 2014-3:

Clarification of Eligibility to Obtain AMA 250SX License.

Section A.3 of the 2014 AMA Amateur National Motocross Supplemental Rules, Rider Eligibility and Classification, provides, in part:

Top 15 overall riders in the 250A, 450A and Open Pro Sport classes at the National will be eligible to obtain an AMA Pro Supercross 250SX license without further qualification.

The intent of the provision was to apply to riders earning a top 15 overall finish in the applicable classes at the 2013 National Championship only. Accordingly, it is necessary to clarify and amend the rule as follows:

Top 15 overall riders in the 250A, 450A and Open Pro Sport classes at the 2013 National will be eligible to obtain a 2014 AMA Pro Supercross 250SX license without further qualification.

Although MX Sports prefers not to make rule changes during the race season, in this case the clarification is necessary to avoid any confusion.
