MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (January 13, 2014)—“ MX Sports would like to recognize and congratulate two-time 2013 Loretta Lynn’s National Champion (250 B and 450 B Limited) Aaron Plessinger on an incredible debut at the 2014 AMSOIL Arenacross Series over the weekend.

The second round of AMSOIL Arenacross took place on Friday and Saturday inside Baltimore’s Baltimore Arena, where MyPlash/Star Racing Yamaha’s Plessinger made a name for himself right away by capturing an overall podium finish in his first ever bout in the Arenacross Class. Plessinger especially turned heads with a big victory in Main Event 1, where he topped some of the sport’s most seasoned veterans, including two-time Arenacross Champion Tyler Bowers.

One night after finishing on the Arenacross Class podium in his first career race, Plessinger emerged victorious to make history as the first Ricky Carmichael’s Road to Supercross competitor to ever take an overall victory, according to an official press release from AMSOIL Arenacross.

The 18-year-old Plessinger will continue to pursue his professional racing career through the Road to Supercross, in addition to select AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country events and the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National. MX Sports and the entire Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship crew wish Aaron the best of luck this season and beyond.

The 2014 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship presented by AMSOIL will take place July 27 - August 2 at the Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. For more information, visit the series website at www.mxsports.com.
