The Area Qualifiers serve as the first step in qualifying for the world’s largest and most prestigious amateur motocross championship. The Regional Championships then serve as the next step to seed riders into the National Championship at the Loretta Lynn Ranch. Only riders who finish in a qualifying position at a Regional Championship are eligible to race the National in August.
"The AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn's has been the pinnacle of amateur motocross in the US and renowned throughout the world,” said AMA Motocross Manager Kip Bigelow. "This coming season will be a very exciting one, with a Regional Championship schedule that will be hosted at premiere tracks and facilities in the country. We are pleased that the AMA and MX Sports are able to provide an AMA Regional Championship experience that will be remembered for years to come."
This year’s lineup once again includes the many National-caliber tracks that have become such an integral part of the Road to Loretta’s. From the historic Unadilla Motocross track in the northeast, to the popular track of Washougal in the northwest, the tour will also return to north and south central favorites such as Spring Creek and Freestone MX.
“The Loretta Lynn’s Area Qualifier and Regional Championship schedule was founded over 30 years ago with the best tracks and organizers in the country,” said MX Sports Event Director Tim Cotter. “It is important that our competitors know that when they attend our events they are going to receive a quality program at a premiere facility. I feel confident that we are continuing that same tradition with the 2013 schedule.”
The 2013 Red Bull Amateur National Motocross Championship will take place Sunday, July 28 - Saturday, August 3 at Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. For more information, visit the series website at www.mxsports.com.

About the Red Bull Amateur National Motocross Championship
The Red Bull Amateur National Motocross Championship is the world's largest and most prestigious amateur motocross racing program. The national qualifying program consists of 50 Area Qualifiers (February through May) and 12 Regional Championships (June), hosted at select motocross facilities across the country. Nearly 20,000 racers attempt to qualify in 36 classes for the 1,446 available positions at the National. Christened "The World's Greatest Motocross Vacation", the National event serves as a launch pad for some of the biggest names in professional motocross and supercross, including Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart, Ryan Villopoto, and Ryan Dungey.
