Morgantown, W. Va. —“ MX Sports and Ricky Carmichael are proud to welcome former champion and fitness guru Johnny O’Mara to the 2012 Ricky Carmichael University faculty lineup. O’Mara will join returning instructors Jeff Emig, Jeff Stanton and Mrs. Carmichael in teaching students at the Lake Elsinore Campus Monday, September 10, following the final round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, in Lake Elsinore, Ca.

As a two-time champion, O’Mara’s addition to the RCU lineup now brings the championship total to 27 amongst this year’s faculty. Led by 15-Time champ, RC, the accomplished panel of instructors bring years of racing experience to the lesson plan, while also providing classroom-based knowledge to students.

“It's a honor to have the opportunity to join Ricky and the team in helping riders who want to excel in our sport,” O’Mara said. “I’ve wanted to do this sooner but my scheduling hasn't allowed until now, so I'm excited to spend the weekend at Lake Elsinore with my friends, past champions and all the RCU students!”

Returning for the third year, six-time champion Jeff Stanton will continue to work with students on breaking down rhythm sections and perfecting corner technique. Likewise, four-time champ and three-time RCU instructor Jeff Emig will focus on teaching the basic foundation of starting technique, while providing general insight on all parts of the track.

Additionally, students will learn everything from proper body positioning, to utilizing organized drills focusing on flat turns, improved braking techniques and even personalized one-on-one training from the instructors.

RCU is an exclusive and unprecedented opportunity for motocross riders on the west coast to learn from The-Greatest-of-All-Time and his accomplished faculty. For more information on RCU Lake Elsinore, or to register for the event, click HERE.
