SUBJECT: COMPETITION BULLETIN 2020-2:
Clarification of 51cc Class Participation
It is necessary to clarify the eligibility of 51cc riders to participate in multiple classes. Riders eligible for a 51cc (4-6) class, either Shaft Drive or Junior, may attempt to qualify in both classes at the Area Qualifier and Regional level; however, at the National only one class may be chosen. Riders competing in the Mini-E (4-6) class may compete in either 51cc (4-6) class at the National.
Accordingly, Rule C.5 of the 2020 Supplemental Rules have been clarified as follows:
C.5
Riders in either the 51cc (4-6) Shaft Drive or 51cc (4-6) Junior class may attempt to qualify at the Area Qualifier and Regional Championship in both classes; however, at the National only one 51cc class may be chosen. Riders in the Mini-E (4-6) Jr. class may also compete in a 51cc (4-6) class at the National.
