Country Music Festival Kicks off 2019 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC
AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch
Largest Amateur Motocross Event Hosts Great Nighttime Activities
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (July 27, 2019) – The 38th Annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship presented by Lucas Oil returns to the popular Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee this coming week, July 29 through August 3. Alongside the world’s largest and most prestigious amateur racing event is a full slate of special events and nighttime activities scheduled to take place.
Things will kick off at 4:30 p.m. with the inaugural Nathan Hall Memorial Bicycle Training Ride. Riders wanting to take part in the training ride need to meet at the announcer’s tower for the 5K After completion of youth and amateur rider registration the activities continue with the annual Oakley Golf Cart Parade at 5 p.m. CDT, followed by the Red Bull Mini Moto for industry mechanics at 6 p.m. on the start line.
Sunday evening the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC County Music Festival presented by Honda, will take place in the Lucas Oil Arena at 7:30 p.m. CDT. Loretta Lynn National Alumni, Kayla J. will perform along with Luke Hilgenhold, Emmy Russell and David Russell.
Practice takes place Monday, July 29, please refer to the schedule HERE for the detailed breakdown of the practice divisions and times. The event will officially begin with the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Opening Ceremonies and riders meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Lucas Oil Arena featuring Xfinity NASCAR driver Justin Allgaier. On Tuesday, July 30 Cobra will have their 2020 Model Introduction at 7:30 p.m. followed by the sneak Movie Premiere of Bennet’s War starring Michael Roark & Trace Adkins at 9 p.m. CDT.
Wednesday, July 31 starts out with Talent show registration and auditions inside the Lucas Oil Arena from 1 – 4 p.m. with MX Sports Pro New Rider Orientation presented by Suzuki at 5:30 p.m. in the Suzuki pit area. MXers for Jesus will present a Chapel Service with Reverend Kevin Cozadd in the FMF Pit Area at 7 p.m. with FMF Karaoke immediately following at 8 p.m. and a MX vs. ATV Loretta Lynn Video Game Championship inside the Lucas Oil Arena at 8 p.m. CDT.
Thursday, August 1 is a jam-packed day with activities starts with music on the beach at 11 a.m. Ryan Villopoto and Mike Brown will be signing autographs at the Yamaha pit from 1:15 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Motoplayground will host the infamous Sidewinder Finals on Thursday night at 8 p.m., and continuing this year will be the Fright Night in Butcher Hollow showing scary movies in the woods across from the beer tent at Dusk. Underground Motocross presented by BoomDiggity will present a Fireworks Show at 10 p.m. on the Starting Line.
On Friday, August 2, Loretta Lynn Kennel Club will present the first-ever dog show at 7 p.m. around Polisport Pond. On Track Graduation will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Lucas Oil Arena followed by the Yamaha/Moto Tees Talent Show at 8 p.m. Wrapping up the week will be the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Award Ceremony on Saturday, August 3 at 4 p.m. with the crowning of 36 National Champions.
There will be numerous activities taking place throughout the week, Camp Loretta’s returns as a day-camp designed for children ages five through 10 operating daily Monday, July 29 – Friday, August 2 from 10 a.m. – noon and 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Also, Fuel Ministries, Team Faith and Fellowship of Christian Athletes are partnering together every evening Saturday, July 27 – Thursday, August 1 to offer family fun games for all ages near Lake Loretta.
The National class structure includes classes for youth riders on 50cc bikes all the way up to vet and senior classes. The race will follow a three-moto format, taking place over the course of a week. Participating riders have previously raced and qualified at Area Qualifiers and Regional Championships to participate in the National.
There will be hours of live online streaming coverage that begins on Tuesday, July 29 through Saturday, August 3 on RacerTV.com, and two one-hour highlight shows featuring the event will air on NBC Sports Network in the Fall.
