MX Sports, producer of the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship presented by AMSOIL at Loretta Lynn Ranch, announced today the tentative 2015 Area Qualifier and Regional Championship Schedules.

Taking place in 32 states throughout the country, this season's schedule of 55 Area Qualifiers will begin in February and run through the end of May. The 13 Regional Championships will run in eight major geographical regions throughout the United States, taking place in late May and through the month of June.

The Area Qualifiers serve as the first step in qualifying for the world's largest and most prestigious amateur motocross championship. The Regional Championships then serve as the next step to seed riders into the National Championship at the Loretta Lynn Ranch. Only riders who finish in a qualifying position at a Regional Championship are eligible to race the National in August.

"Developing the Area Qualifier and Regional Championship schedule is perhaps the most important part of the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship process," said Director of MX Sports, Tim Cotter. "This is the schedule that sets the tone for the coming year and we believe that 2015 has a great lineup of facilities and organizers for our athletes and families."

This year's lineup once again includes the many National-caliber tracks that have become such an integral part of the Road to Loretta's. From the historic Unadilla Motocross track in the northeast, to the popular track of Washougal in the northwest, the tour will also return to north and south central favorites such as Spring Creek and Freestone MX. Brand new additions to the 2015 schedule include Malvern MX in the mid-east, Veteran MX in the south central and MMX Racing in the northwest.

Additionally, an all-new mid-west region has been added to accommodate riders on the west coast by providing more opportunities to qualify for the National Championship.

"Lofting an AMA number one plate at the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn's is the ultimate achievement in amateur racing," said AMA Motocross Manager Kip Bigelow. "That journey begins with the area and regional qualifier schedule announced today. The country's best tracks are included in what is one of the most exciting qualifier schedules ever, ensuring that the riders who emerge at the national will indeed be the best of the best."
