MX Sports Pro Racing and Honda Team Up to Announce the Honda CRF 150 Cup

 

Spec-Based Races to Showcase Top Youth Motocross Talent

 


MX Sports Pro Racing, in association with American Honda, announces the introduction of the Honda CRF150 Cup.  The Honda CRF150 Cup is a pair of special events held in conjunction with the final two rounds of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Steel City Raceway and Pala Raceway, September 4th and September 11th, respectively. The events, which will be featured the same day as the Nationals, are designed as a platform to showcase the next generation of motocross talent.

The pair of special events will feature significant support from American Honda as well as the Honda Riders Club of America (HRCA).   The back-to-back competitions will boast some of the most talented amateur motocross riders in the country, allowing the future stars of American Motocross a unique opportunity to ride and compete on the same tracks as the world's fastest riders in front of thousands of motocross fans.

Pala Raceway, Pala, CA: September 11, 2010

Terms:

  • Rider Eligibility: Youth Ages 12-16 (boys and girls)
  • Machine Requirements: Honda CRF150R or CRF150RB models (2007 or newer).
  • Rules: AMA Supermini (12-16) class requirements apply. Max. wheel size: Front 19"; Read 16".
  • Membership: Current AMA Membership required.
  • Entries: limited to the first 30 applicants.
  • Race Format: one practice session and one 15-minute moto (weather permitting).
  • Entry Fee: includes Gate Admission & Paddock Access.
  • Mechanics Pass: Can be purchased at event for $40 (includes Gate Admission, Paddock and Signal Area access).  Limit: 1 per rider/event.
  • Guest Passes: Can be purchased at event for $40 (includes Gate Admission & Paddock Access). Limit: 4 per rider/event.
  • Registration: Entries must be submitted via the official Entry Form and emailed to honda150cup@mxsports.com. Post entries will not be accepted.
  • Acceptance: Applicants will be notified via email of acceptance no later than 15 days prior to the event.
  • Entry Cancellation: Fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
  • Awards: Top 3 finishers.

Schedule:

  • Will Call: Passes can be picked up/purchased from Rider Services/Will Call
    • Friday: 9 am - 5 pm
    • Saturday: 7 am - 10 am
  • Registration: All riders must register at the event at Rider Services during the above times.  Riders must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Check-In: Machines must be taken to the Honda Red Riders display in Sponsor Village for check-in no later than 9 am Saturday.
