MX Sports Mourns the Passing of Racer Jacob Nash


Morgantown, W. Va. (April 27, 2009)
- The MX Sports amateur racing family is saddened to report the passing of rider Jacob Alan Nash at an Area Qualifier on Sunday, April 26th, at Thunder Valley MX. Jacob was involved in a single-bike crash. After the crash, he was transported to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee before passing away.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Washington Avenue Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville, Tennessee, on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. until departure to the church at 11:30 a.m.

Jacob was 20-years-old. He is survived by his parents, brother, paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather.

The MX Sports family asks everyone within the racing community to keep Jacob and the Nash family in their thoughts and prayers.
